Information Sheet – effective December 1, 2026

Appointments

Every visit to the kennel is by appointment only, whether it's a first visit, a drop-off or a pick-up. We are available from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 7 days a week.

To get the time you want, please book at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day requests may find the slot you want already taken, so we ask that you stay flexible. We will do all we can to accommodate.

Punctuality is what allows us to be flexible. Please respect your appointment time and let us know if you are running late. Extreme lateness may result in your appointment being moved to the next available slot.

In bad weather, allow extra travel time. When a weather warning is issued, you may bring your dog the day before. We also strongly recommend bringing your dog the day before a flight, to avoid last-minute issues.

First time at the kennel?

Every new client goes through an evaluation. We first schedule a visit with your dog at the kennel. If you are satisfied with our facilities and we feel your dog is a good fit, you may leave your dog with us for 24 hours during that same visit, so they can get used to the new environment.

You must not be away on vacation during this 24-hour trial, in case we need you to pick up your dog. No stay is guaranteed until the evaluation is completed and passed to our satisfaction. For high season (summer, Christmas), we recommend starting the trial at least 2 months ahead.

Access and parking

The kennel parking lot is 50 metres past our home (red house). A large sign by the road leads you to a small gravel road.

Please do not drive up to the kennel building; leave your car in the parking lot.

If you arrive early, please wait in the parking lot until your appointment time.

Policies

Cancellations and stay changes

Once your reservation is confirmed, the kennel is reserved for your dog only for that period. You may pick up your dog early if your plans change, but the full stay will still be charged.

Cancellation Fee
14 to 8 days before the stay 25% of the stay
7 days or less before the stay 50% of the stay

Safety

The safety of our family, our staff and our boarders is a priority. If a dog threatens anyone's safety or disrupts the kennel environment, we reserve the right to send the dog home or refuse its entry.

Emergency Contact

We require an emergency contact for every stay. This person must be able to pick up the dog the same day we call, if necessary. Payment for the stay is required at pick-up. In very urgent situations, we can drive your dog to the Hôpital Vétérinaire Rive-Sud (Brossard), and your emergency contact can meet us there.

Health

Please tell us about any current or past health issues before the stay. Speak with your veterinarian and keep a credit card on file in case it's needed. After surgery, allow at least 2 weeks of healing time before booking.

If your dog needs medication, raw food or a special diet during the stay, the additional fees in the rates apply.

Risks, Injuries and Illnesses

Despite our best efforts, some risk of illness or injury remains at the kennel. Safety is our first priority, but we are not responsible for any illness or injury that occurs during the stay. You can ask for your dog to spend outdoor time alone with us to reduce the risk further.

If an illness or injury requires a vet visit, your emergency contact will be asked to pick up the dog immediately. Payment for the stay may be requested.

Vaccines

Vaccines must be up to date at all times. Rabies, leptospirosis, DHPP and Bordetella (kennel cough) must have been given within the last 12 months. After vaccination, please wait 7 days before coming to the kennel.

Owners are responsible for keeping their dog's vaccines up to date. We may ask for proof of vaccination at any time. Entry can be refused if vaccines are not up to date or if proof is missing or insufficient.

What to Bring?

Bring only your dog's food, enough for the whole stay, and a properly fitted collar. The kennel is fully equipped with clean bowls and Kuranda Pro dog beds. If we have to supply food, an additional fee applies.

Belongings

We are not responsible for damage to or loss of clients' belongings (collars, leashes, beds, etc.).

Grooming

Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is properly groomed so they can relieve themselves and stay clean.
